Macon men indicted in February armed robbery

Bibb County grand jurors have indicted two Macon men on allegations they robbed the EZ Mart, 3010 Houston Ave., and struck a clerk in the head with a handgun on Feb. 22, according to an indictment filed Tuesday in Bibb County Superior Court.

Robert Marcus Finney, 23, and Diquan Matqueze Lee Green, 19, are charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault, according to the indictment.

Store clerks told police a customer playing an amusement machine claimed at about 2:45 a.m. that he was having a problem with the machine. When a clerk went to help, a second man ran into the store with a handgun and demanded money, according to a police news release.

The men left with cash, cigarettes and the clerks' cell phones, according to police.

Green was released from jail on $55,200 bond Sept. 13. Finney is being held on $55,200 bond, according to jail records.
