Macon police responded to a call of a person shot early Sunday morning along the 1900 block of Pio Nono Avenue.

The responding officer found a 38-year-old black female on her back with a gun shot wound to her neck. Her husband was crouched down next to her asking for help, the police incident report said.

Tremane Taylor, the husband, told police that he was walking with his wife Tayne Card shortly after 1 a.m., when someone started shooting, the police incident report said.

Police officers interviewed several witnesses but none could provide any information on the shooter. One of the shots fired struck a Dodge Caliber belonging to one of the witnesses, the incident report said.

The car belonging to Taylor and Card was not on the scene, but Taylor did not provide officers with identifying information.
