2 dead after crash in Bolingbroke

A single car accident claimed the lives of two men in Bolingbroke Sunday morning.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Allison Selman-Willis said the Ford Crown Victoria was carrying four passengers, who were all ejected when the car’s tire blew causing the vehicle to flip multiple times.

Reginald Arneze Patterson Jr., 20, and Jarvis Terrell Dumas, 22, both of Forsyth, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Driver Eddrick Deon Goddard, 20, and Shavar Antwon Traylor, 30, were transported to The Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon with non-life threatening injuries.

According to a news release, seat belts were not used by any of the passengers.

The accident happened near Pate Road on Interstate 75 northbound at 5:06 a.m. which closed the northbound lanes for several hours.

No charges are expected.
