A crash course for business managers and owners will be held in Macon next week.
The Employment Law and Legislative Issues Update summit will be held 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Central Georgia Technical College, Building H, Room 111 at 3300 Macon Tech Drive, according to a news release.
The event will feature a number of speakers including Georgia Labor Commissioner Mark Butler, a labor department employment and training consultant, an employment law attorney and a representative from Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute.
Supervisors, managers, human resource professionals and business owners are encouraged to attend the summit designed to help them meet, understand and conquer compliance challenges in the workplace, the release said.
Pre-registration is encouraged. The cost is $60 a person and $50 for additional attendees per company in advance, and $75 at the door. Registration includes breakfast and lunch.
