Georgia DNR holding deer management meeting

lfabian@macon.comOctober 30, 2013

If you have thoughts about Georgia’s white-tailed deer population, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources wants to hear from you.

Whether you hunt them, hit them on the road, want to hug them or hate to see them nibbling away at your garden, the state’s Wildlife Resources Division wants your input on how to manage the state’s deer population.

A highly interactive open house is scheduled Tuesday between 5-8 p.m. at the Miller Murphy Howard Building at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter at 401 Larry Walker Parkway in Perry.

Comments can be submitted until Nov. 22 at www.gohuntgeorgia.com/Hunting/Meetings or mailed to: WRD Game Management, Attn: Charlie Killmaster, 2065 U.S. 278 SE, Social Circle, GA 30025.
