Central Baptist to host annual women’s ministry dinner

October 30, 2013

Central Baptist Church will host its annual Women’s Enrichment Ministry dinner Nov. 7, and the public is invited to attend. The guest speaker for the evening will be author Eva Piper.

It is not the first time a Piper has been guest speaker at the event. Eva’s husband, Don, spoke in 2011 while she was still writing her own book. Don Piper is the author of The New York Times bestseller, “90 Minutes in Heaven,” which describes his experiences in heaven after he was pronounced dead at the scene of a car accident.

Eva Piper’s book, “A Walk through the Dark,” follows the same events but instead of communicating a trip to heaven it is the story of the opposite side -- the insurance companies, the hospitals and life as a caregiver.

As part of their commitment to the community, every fall the Women’s Ministry at Central Baptist Church plans an event to help change the lives of women in Middle Georgia.

Eva Piper will be speaking at the event and will have copies of her book for sale. She will also sign previously purchased copies. Doors open at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6:15 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, which is located at 1120 Lake Joy Road.

Tickets are $20. Call Central Baptist Church at 478-953-9319 for more information.
