Peach County High band gets top marks at competition

The Peach County High School Marching Band scored high marks at a competition Oct. 5 in Hawksinville.

The band earned an overall rating of Superior, and the drum line and drum major also earned a Superior rating. The drill team and color guard earned an Excellent rating in their category, according to a news release.

“We have an outstanding group of students,” band Director Darren Johnson said in the release.

MOAA meeting planned

The Middle Georgia Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America will have its November meeting at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 at The Landings restaurant. Those who wish to attend are asked to RSVP to Bill Goodwin by 6 p.m. Sunday. Contact him at
