Roadwork could slow traffic this week.
Starting at the end of Wednesday through 4 a.m. Thursday, one of two lanes of Interstate 75 southbound through part of Monroe County will be closed. Workers will be repairing guardrails for four hours around Pate Roads Exit 175, the Georgia Department of Transportation said.
Separately, the agency announced it plans to make a new traffic signal fully operational Thursday at the intersections of Arkwright Road with the exit and entrance ramps to Interstate 75 southbound in Bibb County. The new traffic lights have been flashing since Wednesday.
