Bibb schools plan test workshops for parents

Bibb County schools are launching a monthly series of 50-minute workshops for parents.

Those events launch with a set of classes about the state’s CRCTs, or Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests, which are administered to all students in third- through eighth-grade. Participants will learn about the grade-level standards and learn how to find study guide materials to ensure students are ready for college or careers. The workshops begin at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

A similar pair of workshops is set for 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 19, when the work will focus on the End of Course Tests used in high school for core subjects. Parents will get the tools needed to help students and get test prep take-home materials.

The workshops will be held at the Title I Parent Center, 2003 Riverside Drive, Macon.
