Man hurt in Macon store shooting

Gunshots shattered the front window of a Macon store Friday night, wounding an unidentified man.

Macon police responded to the M&M Food Mart at 2760 Montpelier Ave. at about 9 p.m. to find that the victim had already left, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.

Shots were fired into the building and officers noted the bullet holes in the window.

The victim, whose name was not released, sought treatment at Coliseum Hospital for his injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening.
