To our readers: Seeking former Brown & Williamson employees

October 25, 2013

Ten years ago, Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. announced it would shut down the Macon plant, putting the jobs of 2,100 Middle Georgians in jeopardy.

The Telegraph would like to talk with people who worked for the company in 2003 for a story about what workers have done since they left.

Please contact staff writer Linda S. Morris at lmorris@macon.com and provide a daytime phone number.

The Telegraph is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
