UK Big Blue Madness

Julius Randle, center, gets a shot off between the defensive pressure of Derek Willis, left, and Marcus Lee during action of Kentucky's Big Blue Madness scrimmage Friday, Oct. 18.

I'm on the voting panel this year for the Associated Press men's basketball top 25. The preseason poll will be revealed on Oct. 31, and the preseason All-American team on Nov. 4. Here is how I voted:

1. Kentucky
2. Kansas
3. Duke
4. Louisville
5. Michigan State
6. Arizona
7. Michigan
8. Florida
9. Oklahoma State
10. North Carolina
11. Ohio State
12. Syracuse
13. Memphis
14. Virginia Commonwealth
15. Wichita State
16. Oregon
17. Marquette
18. Gonzaga
19. New Mexico
20. Notre Dame
21. Wisconsin
22. Connecticut
23. UCLA
24. Colorado
25. Cincinnati

- My preseason All-America team:

F Andrew Wiggins, Kansas
F Doug McDermott, Creighton
F Mitch McGary, Michigan
G Marcus Smart, Oklahoma State
G Russ Smith, Louisville

Comment: No, I did not vote for Georgia, as Mark Fox did in the USA Today coaches poll, putting his Bulldogs at No. 25. And no, I did not even consider it. But this is only a preseason poll, and who knows, stranger things have happened.
