Three teenagers accused in a Lake Tobesofkee residential area car break-in spree admitted they had been playing a game of Ding Dong Ditch and began bringing back items from unlocked cars in the driveways, according to the Bibb County Sheriffs Office.
Ding Dong Ditch is typically played by ringing a random persons doorbell and running away.
Stolen items included a hunting bow and arrows, GPS equipment, cameras, video cameras, range finders and sunglasses. Deputies were called after a victim noticed theft from his car on Waterford Place. Another deputy found an ID card in another vehicle and went to the nearby address listed on the card where deputies found the boys, according to a news release.
Andrew Garnet Ellard, 17, of Baylor Court, Wendall Craig Strickland, 18, of Oxford Road, and Aaron Michael Jones Masey, 18, of Timberland Drive, were charged with six counts of entering auto. Ellard and Strickland are Howard High School students, according to the release.
