Cellphone alarms blared Wednesday night across Georgia for a missing 14-year-old girl from Bartow County.

Minutes after the 7:30 p.m. Amber Alert, someone called Bibb County deputies to report the white Range Rover was in the parking lot of the Country Inn and Suites at 3915 Arkwright Road.

Officers pulled their weapons when the driver tried to leave, but deputies blocked the vehicle and held the man and teen until Bartow investigators could be reached.

No charges were filed against 20-year-old Justin Cooley after officers learned Amber Harrison took her parents’ car without permission and picked up Cooley in Dallas for a joy ride across Georgia.
