A 41-year-old Macon man was arrested last week on charges of rape, battery and false imprisonment, stemming from an incident that occurred in May.
Willie Albert Ware is being held at Bibb County jail without bond, according to jail records.
The victim told Macon police that Ware, whom she called her friend, locked her inside his apartment at 448 Grosso Ave. against her will, placing boards over the doors and forcing her into the bedroom. Once there, he raped and assaulted her for two hours, according to an arrest warrant released Monday.
Ware denied the allegations to investigators but admitted having a history with the victim, telling them he had consensual sex with her several months prior to the incident.
The victim, who provided her statement in May from the emergency room of The Medical Center of Central Georgia, said Ware tried to make her take a shower after the incident and told her he would kill her if she called police.
Evidence was collected for a sexual assault kit at the Medical Center, and a GBI test determined that DNA found on the victim matched Ware.
Macon police detective Nicholas Nunley signed an affidavit saying bruises were observed on the victim.
Ware also was charged with violating his probation.
