Masked man robs Subway in Fort Valley

A Subway restaurant in Fort Valley was robbed Wednesday night, police said.

The suspect was described as a black man in his 20s, standing about 6 feet tall with a skinny build. He was wearing a gray and white spandex mask, tan work jacket, a black shirt and a woodland pattern camouflage hat.

About 9:30 p.m., the armed man walked into the Subway on Commercial Heights, demanded money from the store clerk and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, said Fort Valley police Maj. Anthony Brown. The clerk was not hurt.

Anyone with information about the armed robbery is asked to call Fort Valley police at 478-825-3384.
