Bibb County grand jurors have indicted a 52-year-old Macon woman in the Feb. 23 fatal shooting of a man at her Cedar Street home.
Jennifer Delores Washington is charged with malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault in the death of 50-year-old Kenneth Cray of Warner Robins, according to an indictment filed Tuesday in Bibb County Superior Court.
Washington met Cray through her job as a certified nursing aid and phlebotomist and his job as a courier delivering specimens to doctors offices and hospitals, Washingtons lawyer said at an April bond hearing.
The lawyer also said Washington kept a revolver at her home for protection and that she called police after the shooting. When officers arrived, she told them that he choked her and she shot him.
Washington was released from jail in April on $55,200 bond, according to county jail records.
