INTERACTIVE MAP: Population and demographic change since 1970

mstucka@macon.comOctober 9, 2013

This interactive map shows overall population changes, as well as racial components of those changes, between the 1970 Census and the 2010 Census. Darker shades of red show more population loss, while darker shades of green show greater population increases. Double-click on an area to zoom in, or click on an area to learn the details.

The Telegraph obtained the map and 1970 Census information from the National Historical Geographic Information System, and matched those areas using block-level demographic data from the 2010 Census.
