Warner Robins police investigate death of man shot in leg

WARNER ROBINS -- Police are investigating the death of a man shot in his leg Tuesday.

Warner Robins police responded to the 100-block of Demetree Drive about 3:20 p.m. in reference to a gunshot wound. There, they found a man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his upper leg, according to a police news release.

The man was taken to Houston Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Police are investigating his death as a homicide, the release states.

Warner Robins police spokeswoman Tabitha Pugh said additional details were not immediately available. She did not have the name of the man killed.
