A half dozen students were on board a school bus involved in a minor accident early Thursday morning.

No injuries were reported in the accident that happened at about 6:40 a.m. at the intersection of Pio Nono Avenue and Rocky Creek Road.

“All the students were taken on to school,” said David Gowan, risk management director for the Bibb County schools.

Initial reports indicate the bus was headed to Northeast High School.

The vehicle did not sustain major damage as the bus driver was able to pull over into a nearby parking lot.

The cause of the accident was not immediately known.
