Bibb health department offering free health screenings in October

The Macon-Bibb County Health Department is offering free health screenings on Fridays during October in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The screenings will be given from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Friday during the month. On Oct. 25, from noon till 2 p.m., the department will host a free luncheon for the first 100 women and men to register by 3 p.m. Oct. 24.

The free screenings will include a clinical breast exam; a Body Mass Index measurement; glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol checks; and HIV testing.
