Four men broke through a glass door at the Bass Pro Shops late Sunday and stole semi-automatic rifles.

After the men broke into the building about 11:40 p.m., they headed to the gun area and used a crowbar to pry open the metal bars that secured the guns. Seventeen AR-15 semi-automatic rifles were stolen during the burglary, according to Cara Cotton, the director of strategic management for the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators were processing evidence Monday, trying to identify the suspects involved.

The suspects were described as:

• Suspect 1: A black male wearing a black shirt and shorts. This suspect also was seen carrying a white T-shirt in his left hand.

• Suspect2: A black male with a white T-shirt wrapped around his head, wearing a black T-shirt and shorts. This suspect was wearing long pants underneath the shorts. He also was wearing white, mid-cut tennis shoes with red trim and red shoe laces.

• Suspect 3: A black male suspect wearing a black shirt and dark pants. This suspect also was wearing light-colored shoes.

• Suspect 4: A black male suspect wearing a black, short-sleeve shirt with a white, long-sleeve shirt under his T-shirt. This suspect also was wearing shorts.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-746-9441 or the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
