A 42-year-old Macon man was shot in his midsection and his car was stolen early Friday morning, according to a Macon police report.
A woman who lives in the 3800 block of Napier Avenue told police she heard loud knocking on her door and opened it to find a man saying he had been shot. She called 911 and Jeffrey Postell, of Bloomfield Drive, was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia, where he underwent surgery, according to the report.
When police arrived about 12:30 a.m., it was hard for officers to speak with him because of his injuries. Its unclear where the shooting took place, according to the report.
Postell told officers a man shot him, took his brown Nissan Altima and other belongings, according to the report.
