Upcoming Macon health fair geared toward men

Staff reportSeptember 24, 2013

A health fair this weekend is designed specifically for men.

The Medical Center of Central Georgia is hosting the 2013 Men’s Health Fair this Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon at Central Georgia Technical College, 3300 Macon Tech Drive in Macon. The free event is open to the public.

Health screenings will range from blood pressure to depression, and there will also be seminars on cardiovascular health, cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and stress management. Each seminar is designed specifically with men in mind.

To further help men, the Medical Center has added a Personal Health Record document on its website: http://tinyurl.com/ljbclnd

The document, along with MCCG’s IQ Health program, will allow men and women to take control of their health and their health care.

For more information or to register for screenings, visit www.menshealthmacon.org or call 478-633-6336.
