A new sports-themed shop that specializes in haircuts for men and boys opened Friday in Warner Robins.
Sport Clips, at 2945 Watson Blvd., Suite 3, is between Target and Hobby Lobby, said Clay Murphey, co-owner of the franchise with Jarrod Durden and Shannon Durden.
The store has five TVs, all tuned to sports programs.
This is the second Sport Clips in the midstate. The first one opened on Zebulon Road in Macon a year ago this week.
Warner Robins is a tremendous market, Murphey said. The demographic model fits perfect for us. ... We are looking for another location on Highway 96.
Other Sport Clips may open in Macon, Murphey said, and hes looking at Milledgeville and Perry for other locations.
Each store has to have a minimum of eight employees. The Warner Robins store has 10 workers to open.
Based in Texas, Sport Clips was founded in 1993 and has more than 1,000 locations.
