A Warner Robins man died as a result of a fire at his home Saturday night.

The fire took place about 10 p.m. at a mobile home at 1040 N. Davis Drive, which is between North Davis Drive and Ga. 247.

William Cox, age unknown, was taken to the burn center in Augusta, “and he did not make it,” Houston County Coroner Danny Galpin said about 4:15 p.m. Sunday. “He had massive burns.”

Galpin said he had just learned of the death and didn’t have a lot of information about the situation.

“I think he lived by himself,” he said. “As far as I know just one trailer” was involved in the fire.
