Video voices: Hubert Davison Sr.

September 7, 2013

Hubert Davison Sr., 69, moved to Macon in 1951 and lives in the Unionville neighborhood off Pio Nono Avenue.

“I don’t have a worry there,” he said. “Because my daily prayer there is the same as anywhere else: ‘Lord bless me with good neighbors, because a good neighbor is something good to have.’”

Davison is a retired minister from Oak Grove Baptist Church on Main Street. He said he is frustrated when people don’t get along.

“I think we should stop talking so much about getting along and do it,” he said. “And we’ll be in much better shape than what we are because I’ve discovered that a lot of people say one thing and do another. But do what you say and say what you do.”
