A vehicle collided with a Bibb County school bus about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday on Old Columbus Road.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office public information officer Lt. Sean DeFoe said 15 students were on board, but only one child complained of injuries. That child, who was sitting in the back of the bus, declined treatment at the scene and went home with parents, he said.

Michael Wright, 17, was headed east on old Columbus Road when he went into a curve and collided with the bus, which was headed west, DeFoe said.

The bus was damaged on the driver’s side and both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The children boarded another bus and were taken home.

Bibb deputies are investigating the accident.
