Mark Stevens, a former marketing president of State Bank & Trust Co., is now the regional development officer of Macon Mall.
According to a news release from mall owners Hull Storey Gibson Cos., Stevens will oversee operations at the mall, manage community relationships and work for revitalization of the surrounding retail area.
Mark is a leader in the Macon community and we are thrilled to have such a prominent local figure working as part of our team, Jim Hull, managing partner of Hull Storey Gibson Cos., said in the release. Mark possesses the market knowledge and community relationships to further the collaborative effort needed to re-establish the Macon Mall and surrounding businesses as a regional destination for retail and dining.
Stevens said in the release that he wants the mall to contribute to the success of Macons colleges, medical facilities and downtown businesses.
Stevens worked in the banking industry for 38 years and is a Mercer University business school graduate. He serves on the boards of the Cherry Blossom Festival, The Grand Opera House, the Museum of Aviation and Keep Macon Bibb Beautiful Commission.
