Macon police: 84-year-old’s wallet snatched

After two young black men helped an 84-year-old Macon man retrieve his keys from his locked truck, they ran away with his wallet, according to Macon police.

The victim said the men climbed in through the back window of his truck about 4 p.m. Monday and returned his keys.

According to a police report, the victim pulled out his wallet to offer them money for their help when the two snatched it and ran down Nisbett Road.

Macon police are investigating.
