A Crawford County deputy has been terminated, nearly two weeks after he was involved in an altercation at the Country Rock Bar and Grill in Spalding County, according to a sheriffs office news release.
The firing came after an internal investigation into the actions of Scott Richard Bruce. Bruce, who was hired in May, was charged with obstructing law enforcement and disorderly conduct a few days after the Aug. 18 incident, according to the release.
Bruce was not on duty during the incident. He apparently had a disagreement with another person at the bar before the altercation, according to the sheriffs office.
