Wright helping coach Jamaican team

Macon native and former NBA player Sharone Wright is helping coach the Jamaican national team in the FIBA Americas qualifying tournament for the World Championships and Olympics.

Wright is working as an assistant coach to former NBA player Sam Vincent.

The team’s roster includes professionals Sammardo Samuels, Jerome Jordan, Patrick Ewing Jr. and Ryan Hollins, along with Durand Scott from Miami and Dillon Ennis from Villanova.
