Two people were arrested Thursday in the attempted robbery of the Shell station at 4451 Forsyth Road about 5:15 a.m. Aug. 11, according to a Macon police news release.
A masked gunman demanded a clerk give him money from the store safe, according to a Macon police report.
Store surveillance video shows a masked gunman kneeling beside the building as the clerk let a female customer inside. After buying candy, the woman left and opened the door, allowing the gunman inside, according to the report.
The gunman didnt take any money or fire any shots.
Macon police requested the publics help identifying the woman, sought by police as a person of interest. According to the release, a tip to Macon Regional CrimeStoppers led to the arrest of the gunman and the woman.
Demetrice Centrell Curry, 20, was arrested on the charge of criminal attempt to commit armed robbery. Warrants were signed for Currys boyfriend, 18 year-old Jaquan Dionte Brown, who was arrested later Thursday at his residence on Merriwood Drive. Brown also was charged with criminal attempt to commit armed robbery.
Both are being held at the Bibb County jail.
