An unnamed Crawford County sheriff’s deputy was suspended with pay after a scuffle in a Spalding County bar early Sunday morning.

Sheriff Lewis Walker issued a news release Tuesday afternoon stating that the male was off duty and not in a patrol car during the altercation.

The deputy’s patrol supervisor advised the sheriff of the incident late Sunday evening and Walker ordered an internal investigation into the deputy’s conduct.

No further information about the incident was immediately released.
