The Bibb County school board had a full house Tuesday, but wouldnt show any cards.
With all members present for a called meeting, the board met for about an hour and 15 minutes in a closed-door discussion of personnel and litigation. Board President Wanda West said the board did take action in closed session, but she couldnt discuss it.
West said she doesnt expect the board will meet before its next regularly scheduled date of Aug. 15.
The board had met last Thursday, with board member Ella Carter absent. In that meeting, the board agreed to purchase a small amount of property adjacent to Heard Elementary School and hired a part-time deputy superintendent, Erin Weaver. After those votes, the board spent another two hours behind closed doors on legal matters without taking a vote.
