Dixie Cleaners employee robbed

The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported personal armed robbery, which took place after 6 p.m. Friday behind Dixie Cleaners on Hartley Bridge Road, according to a sheriff’s report.

A store clerk was taking out the trash when he noticed a man inside a white Dodge truck. The suspect approached the clerk and demanded money, brandishing a black handgun. The clerk gave up his wallet, and the suspect left. No one was injured, the report said.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s, about 6 feet and 200 pounds. He was wearing a long-sleeved black hooded shirt. The suspect’s vehicle is described as an older, “beat up” white Dodge truck with tinted windows, according to the report.
