Macon-Bibb County firefighters battled two intentionally set fires early Tuesday morning.

The first blaze reported at 6:30 a.m. caused heavy damage to a vacant house at 1115 Scotland Ave., which is off Log Cabin Drive in west Macon, said Sgt. Ben Gleaton, an arson investigator.

About an hour later, crews were dispatched to another burning vacant house that sustained minor damage at 2633 Deeb Drive in the Village Green neighborhood, Gleaton said.
