WARNER ROBINS -- A robbery was attempted Friday night about 30 minutes after closing at the Goo Goo Car Wash at 4004 Watson Blvd., but an employee apparently grabbed the cash box and ran.

Online Warner Robins police reports show that a robbery by strong arm, which is the threat of physical force, was reported at the car wash at 8:32 p.m. A clerk at the hotel next door said one of the car wash employees came running in with the cash box, saying the car wash was being robbed and that he needed to call 911.

The online report did not include any detailed information about the incident or a description of the suspect or suspects.

A manager at the car wash said he would have to check with the corporate office to determine whether he could comment about the incident. He could not be reached again for comment late Monday afternoon.

Tabitha Pugh, public information officer for Warner Robins police, could not reached for comment about the incident.
