Macon, Bibb law enforcement holding back-to-school events

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and the Macon Police Department are holding a Back to School Jamboree from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Fort Hill Pal Office, 1166 Eastview Ave.

The “meet and greet” will include Macon officers, Bibb deputies, Bibb County schools campus police officers, Macon-Bibb County firefighters, McGruff the Crime Dog, Eddie Eagle, Darin the Lion and the DARE vehicle.

There also will be games, youth crime prevention lectures and literature, fingerprinting, free food and school supplies for children.

Jamborees also will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Lynmore Estates at South Macon Park on Mead Road and noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the Unionville Pal Office, 1833 Swan Drive.
