Frank Edwards

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Warner Robins man in connection with an armed robbery late Friday in the 300 block of Church Street in Centerville, police said.

Frank Edwards, 29, is accused of taking $20 from a 26-year-old woman at gunpoint after she answered the door of her mobile home at 10:55 p.m., said Centerville police Maj. Garrett Cooley. She was not hurt, he said.

When the woman answered a knock on the door, Edwards asked her if various different people were at the residence, then asked if she wanted to buy a gun, and she said she did not, Cooley said.

Then, police say Edwards brandished a handgun and asked if she had any money. She said she did not. But Edwards saw $20 sitting on a table behind her and demanded the money before fleeing on foot, Cooley said.

Edwards is described by police as a white man, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 175 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair. He has a closed-cropped haircut, or buzz cut, Cooley said. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police at 478-953-4222.
