Macon police charge man in Vineville armed robbery, seek second suspect

Macon police captured one of two men accused of taking part in an armed robbery Sunday evening at the Marathon gas station, 3224 Vineville Ave., according to a police news release.

According to the release, police were called to the gas station in response to two men allegedly committing a personal armed robbery.

Police charged Leonard Alphonso Jenkins, 23, of McKinley Street, with personal armed robbery, but the second suspect is still on the loose. According to the news release, this is Jenkins’ third arrest in the past seven months. He is currently in the Bibb County jail.
