Identity released in fatal motorcycle wreck

A 48-year-old Macon man was killed Friday afternoon after his motorcycle was hit by a pickup truck.

Anthony Baldwin, of Rocky Creek Road, died in the accident at the intersection of Columbus and Ebenezer Church roads just before 1 p.m., said Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

“The pickup pulled out of Ebenezer Church Road into the path of the motorcycle,” Jones said.

“An off-duty Macon police officer did CPR on the man, but could not bring him back,” Jones added.

Baldwin worked for Chris R. Sheridan & Co., he said.

The Macon Police Department fatalities division is investigating the accident.
