Martha Bowman United Methodist Church is hosting a financial seminar next month to help people learn to make better financial decisions.
The Crown Financial Seminar, Journey to Financial Freedom will be held Aug. 17 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the church, 500 Bass Road, which is at the intersection of Bass and Forsyth roads, according to a news release. Attendees should check in at 8:30 a.m.
The one-day event is intended to help attendees develop financial confidence in their money management decisions, learn how to eliminate debt and develop Christian-based attitudes and habits related to money and possessions, according to the release.
The seminar costs $40 per person, which includes lunch and materials. Pre-school childcare is provided at no cost. Information on small group follow-up classes will be presented at the seminar.
