Macon police responded Monday night to a call about a man down at Hall Street and Gray Highway, according to a police report.
Police found the man unconscious with severe head injuries. A woman at the scene told police that before he passed out, the man said he had been hit in the head with a pistol, the report stated. EMS treated and drove the man to The Medical Center of Central Georgia.
When police arrived at the hospital, the man was sedated due to the serious head trauma and was unable to give a statement, according to the report.
