Warner Robins baseball still unbeaten at state Little League tourney

Blake King came up big on the mound and at the plate for Warner Robins American Little League in its 13-3 victory Monday over Coastal Little League in the state Little League baseball tournament in Richmond Hill.

King, who was one of five pitchers for WRALL, came in with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the fourth to strike out the side.

His next at-bat in the top of the fifth led to a three-run triple.

The lights went out for about 15 minutes at Richmond Hill Park in the bottom of the fifth inning with a full count, bases loaded and two outs. It took Cameron Jones one more pitch to end the game after the delay, as Warner Robins won by the 10-run rule.

Warner Robins jumped out to a three-run lead in the top of the third with a two-run shot by Tanner Rowburrey and an RBI by Jeremy Horton. Also hitting home runs for WRALL were Tanner Rowburrey and Zach Lassiter.

Now 3-0 in pool play, Warner Robins takes on Murphey Candler at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
