Several Middle Georgia road construction projects are expected to slow traffic.

Starting Saturday at 9 p.m. and ending Thursday at 5 a.m., crews will close as many as three lanes from Interstate 75 to Interstate 16 to repair bridge joints over the Ocmulgee River.

On Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., crews will repair guardrails on I-75 northbound in Peach County near mile marker 142, the Ga. 96 exit.

Crews plan to work Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on I-75 northbound near Pierce Avenue in Macon.

Separately, the Department of Transportation is inviting the residents of Macon’s Pleasant Hill community to review noise and sight barriers being planned as part of the I-16/I-75 interchange replacement. The meeting is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Booker T. Washington Community Center, 391 Monroe St. A presentation is planned at 5:30 p.m.
