Floyd makes cut in eGolf Tour event

Former FPD standout Taylor Floyd made the cut Thursday at the eGolf Tour’s HGM Hotels Classic at Rock Barn in Conover, N.C.

Floyd, who had an even-par 72 in the first round, shot a 3-under 69 on Thursday and is nine shots out of the lead. Bruce Woodall (12 under) is the tournament leader.

Floyd had bogeys on the first and second holes, but he had five birdies and all pars the rest of the round. Floyd, who is tied for 24th, has finished in the top 10 in his past two events on the tour.
