A 26-year-old Macon man is accused of trafficking young girls at Macon motels for sex and using them to produce child pornography.
Arthur Gerald Reid is charged with three counts of production of child pornography and four counts of sex trafficking of children, according to an indictment filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Macon.
Reid, also known as Blue and Boppy, allegedly recruited three underage girls to work as prostitutes. He then persuaded, enticed and coerced the girls to engage in sexually explicit conduct so he could produce visual depictions of the conduct that were later distributed using a computer, according to the indictment.
The sex trafficking allegedly occurred between Sept. 1, 2011, and continued for some time involving the same three girls.
The child pornography production happened Feb. 25, 2013, according to the indictment.
Reid has been taken into custody on separate charges, but he soon will be taken into federal custody, according to the U.S. Attorneys Office.
