A 26-year-old Macon man was charged with wearing a mask to conceal his identity and hindering police early Sunday morning after an officer spotted him standing in a city water fountain apparently trying to start a protest, according to a Macon police report.
An officer was patrolling downtown at about 1:20 a.m. when he saw the man standing in the fountain at the intersection of Cherry and Third streets and another person videotaping him. When asked for his name, the man initially said he was Chris Wind.
He later told the officer that Chris Wind is his stage name and his real name is Stevario Windhom, according to the report.
Windhom was released from jail Monday morning on $910 bond, according to jail records.
