Residents in south Crawford County, Yatesville and Culloden now have full access to broadband, high-speed Internet, expanded cable and Voice Over Internet Protocol phone services.
Flint Cable TV, doing business as Flint River Communications, announced its Stimulus Broadband Initiatives Program that began in 2010 was completed in May 2013.
To celebrate the launch, Flint River Communications is hosting a Knock it out of the Park promotion 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Crossroads Store at the corner of Ga. 42 and Marshall Mill Road in Crawford County, according to the release. The event includes autographs by former Atlanta Braves player Brian Jordan, prize giveaways, face painting, inflatable slide and free barbecue sandwiches from Hudsons BBQ of Roberta.
Flint River Communications is a subsidiary of Reynolds-based Public Services Communications, a privately owned company that has provided telecommunication services for more than 100 years.
